Coping with Loss: Framing Memories
Coping with loss, I wish for a moment to last,
I wish to capture a slice of our shared past.
I wish to rewrite the spell, recast,
And frame memories with a smiling contrast.
Â
I wish I had preserved that moment and made it safe.
Oblivious, our time together was but a shortwave.
Took it lightly; there was no code to safeguard, so let it waive,
Unaware, it would all fade into the grave.
Â
In the silence, echoes of your laughter play,
A bittersweet melody in our hearts, they stay.
Each memory is a beacon in the dimmest day,
Guiding us through grief’s relentless sway.
Â
We hear, “Time heals,” yet pain often,
But this pain with us will remain, soften.
For we lost you in a dark ravine, so deep,
Leaving us yearning for your voice, you to keep.
Â
In memories, your presence still shines bright.
Guiding us through the darkest night.
Though you’re gone, your love’s eternal light
Fills our hearts, ever burning, ever bright.
Â
Today marks the day the angel of death took you,
Now we navigate a darkness that strew.
This life is not the one we wanted to pursue,
Yet in every moment, we miss you.
